Prof. Bimal K. Bose

Dr. Bimal K. Bose (Life Fellow, IEEE) has held the Condra Chair of Excellence (Endowed Chair) in Power Electronics in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville since 1987, where he was responsible for teaching and research in power electronics and motor drives. Concurrently, he held the positions of Distinguished Scientist (1989-2000) and Chief Scientist (1987-89) of EPRI-Power Electronics Applications Center in Knoxville. Prior to this, he was a research engineer in General Electric Corporate Research and Development, Schenectady, NY for 11 years (1976-87), Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY for 5 years (1971-1976), and faculty member of Bengal Engineering College (now Bengal Engineering and Science University) for 11 years (1960-71).Dr. Bose has made extensive research contributions in power electronics and motor drives that include power converters, PWM techniques, microcomputer/DSP control, electric/hybrid vehicle drives, renewable energy systems, and artificial intelligence (expert system, fuzzy logic and neural network) applications in power electronics and motor drives. He has been a power electronics consultant in a large number of industries. He is Honorary Professor of Shanghai University (1991), China University of Mining and Technology (1996), Xian Mining University (1998), Huazhong Univ. of Science and Technology (2002), and Honorary Adviser of Beijing Power Electronics R&D Center (1990).

Prof. Marc A. Rosen

Marc A. Rosen, P.Eng. is Professor and founding Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa, Canada. He is also President-elect of the Engineering Institute of Canada and has served as President of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering. With over 50 research grants and contracts and 400 technical publications, Dr. Rosen is an active teacher and researcher in thermodynamics, energy technology (including cogeneration, district energy, thermal storage and renewable energy), and the environmental impact of energy and industrial systems. Much of his research has been carried out for industry, and Dr. Rosen has also worked for such organizations as Imatra Power Company in Finland, Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago, and the Institute for Hydrogen Systems near Toronto. Dr. Rosen has received numerous awards and honours, and is a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the International Energy Foundation. Dr. Rosen is a past chair of the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Industrial Engineering at Ryerson University in Toronto, and is a founding associate editor for the International Journal of Exergy.

Ning Sun is currently a Professor with Nankai University and Shenzhen Research Institute of Nankai University, Shenzhen, China. His research interests include intelligent control for mechatronic/robotic systems with an emphasis on (industrial) applications.,Dr. Sun received the Machines 2021 Young Investigator Award, the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan (Standard) in 2018, International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems Best Associate Editor Award in 2023, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems Outstanding Associate Editor in 2024, several journal/conference best/outstanding paper awards. He serves as an Associate Editor for several journals, including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, and IEEE Systems Journal.

Haoping Wang received the Ph.D. degree in automatic control from Lille University of Science and Technology (LUST), Villeneuve-d’Ascq, France, in 2008.,He is currently a Professor with Automation School, the Dean of Zhizhi Academy, and the Scientific and Executive Director of Sino-French Int. Joint Laboratory of Automatic Control and Signal Processing, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing, China. He was Research Fellow with MIS Laboratory of Picardie University, Amiens, France and LAGIS of LUST. His research interests include the theory and applications of hybrid systems, visual servo control, observation design, exoskeleton robotics, friction modeling and compensation, modeling and control of diesel engines, biotechnological processes, and wind turbine systems.

Prof. Duc Truong Pham

Duc-Truong Pham is the Chance Professor of Engineering at the University of Birmingham. He was Professor of Computer-Controlled Manufacture and Director of the Manufacturing Engineering Centre at Cardiff University. He has over 700 publications, including 21 edited and co-authored books on intelligent systems, advanced manufacturing and remanufacturing and has graduated more than 100 PhD students. His awards include five prizes from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Automation Congress and a Distinguished International Academic Contribution Award from the IEEE. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Learned Society of Wales, SME, IET and IMechE. He is the founding editor of the Springer Series in Advanced Manufacturing and editor-in-chief of Cogent Engineering and the International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing. He obtained his Bachelor's, PhD and DEng degrees from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.
